To the Democrats, it is somehow racist and discriminatory to want to deport MS-13 gang members. President Trump is unphased, though, and has pledged to rid the country of one of the most infamous and notorious gangs.
During a roundtable White House meeting, Trump reiterated the need for the wall, citing the current broken immigration system that has enabled scores of MS-13 members to waltz right through.
The POTUS emphasized that the priority is threefold: securing the border, putting an end to chain migration, and doing away with the visa lottery program.
Another point of discussion was putting an end to a number of loopholes that enable undocumented immigrants to gain the system on the backs of American taxpayers.
As far as another government shutdown, Trump said he was all for it if he and the Dems can’t come to a bipartisan agreement.
“If we don’t change it, let’s have a shutdown. We’ll do a shutdown. And it’s worth it for our country. I’d love to see a shutdown if we don’t get this stuff taken care of.”
Watch the hour-long meeting for yourself:
It’s not just Trump that echoes these sentiments. According to FBI agent Stuart Kaplan, MS-13 members are now infiltrating and recruiting students in public schools. Kaplan is now also urging parents to monitor their children’s social media activities, as that is another platform the gang uses for recruitment.
Beyond the ruthless gang, illegal immigration as a whole needs to come to a halt. Incidences similar to Kate Steine’s murder is becoming more commonplace. Edwin Jackson, linebacker for the Indianapolis Colts, was the latest victim. His life was cut short in the hours following the Super Bowl when he and an Uber driver were killed by a drunk driver. The culprit was a twice-deported illegal immigrant.
Is it about time we begin putting American citizens first?
